Notes: Female upper wings more highly patterned than males. Caterpillars overwinter in leaf shelters, pupate in spring.
Occurrence: common
Range: entire state
Flight: late April to mid-September
Larval hostplants: Red Oak, other oaks and possibly Wisteria.
