Notes: Male dark brown above, female tawnier with dark borders. Ventral surfaces similar.
Occurrence: uncommon
Range: Ridge & Valley, Piedmont, Coastal Plain
Flight: late April - early June
Larval hostplants: various "hard" pines such as Scrub (Pinus virginiana) and Loblolly (P. taedo)
