Notes: Sexes similar - female is larger with a more rounded forewing apex. They are cold intolerant so move into Maryland from the south in spring and back south in the fall.
Occurrence: common wanderer
Range: Piedmont, Coastal Plain
Flight: late May to mid-November
Larval hostplants: Plantain, foxglove, figwort, vervain
