Occurrence: Uncommon. Habitat loss threatens this species in Maryland.
Range: Piedmont, Allegheny Plateau, Ridge & Valley. Historically the entire state.
Flight: May - June
Larval hostplants: Turtlehead (Chelone glabra); after over-wintering at caterpillars may shift to plantains (Plantago sp.)
